It was my daughter’s birthday yesterday, she turned 8. She said she wanted to go out for breakfast for her birthday. So I took her to Denny’s.

It’s been a while since I’ve been there, but I spent over $30 for my meal and her kids meal. I don’t like water for breakfast so we ordered juice, and my “Grand Slam” was three pancakes, two eggs, one small sausage link, and a slice of bacon. I could’ve made that faster and (much) cheaper and tastier at home, with not that much of a mess to clean up.

Ridiculous.

Next time I take a kid out for breakfast, I’ll go to McDonald’s and spend less than half that amount for food just as good.
