I bet they would get amazing support. It’s really a shame. Title 9 in
conjunction with a huge football roster means that some mens sports get the short end of the stick.
The reality is that more high school boys play sports (4.5 million to just over 3 million girls). As a girl dad I fully support girls in sports. But title 9 punishes males by saying we have to support college athletics exactly equally.
I wish they would revise title 9 stipulations to more closely reflect the proportion of high school athletes. Or at least do equal number of teams rather than athletes.
BYU should absolutely be able to field men’s soccer and wrestling teams.
