We could’ve been ranked at some point top 20 top 10 team this year with pope and a few additions. Not sure if Pope would have fixed all his coaching in game deficiencies or not. But he likely would’ve grown from last year’s loss in the first round and continue to improve as a coach.
One thing for sure they would’ve likely had a couple of upsets and it would’ve been exciting ….Pope gets the guys pretty amped up.
Likely the disappointing loss somewhere early in postseason.
Hopefully 10 years from now after having much success with Kevin Young, we are asking what if Pope had stayed.
I would hope and expect Pope to continue to develop and become a better and better coach. He’s already a good coach in many ways.
