I’m pretty sure if they try to kick out teams
It’ll be contested in court and might actually be against the Bylaws. If the ACC conference loses their big dogs (FSU, Clemson, NC) as speculated they may be able to reconfigure themselves but they’ll be several teams anxious to go to the Big12 so that they have a seat. See Colorado being the first to leave the PAC. The only caveat is there are rumors that Kansas could be a legitimate target for the bigger conferences too although regardless a combination of the Big12 and leftover ACCs seems inevitable.
