No, but Whit has made a few public statements that give insight
He has said that realignment is not done and that when it’s all said and done, there might be a couple of super conferences.
The big 12 is currently lacking any Blue Bloods or power teams to help drive TV contracts or help include the conference in any huge movements regarding super conferences.
The opinion of the dying conference is my own. Just look at the pay gaps from just this past year and now project those forward as the B1G and SEC poach the best quality teams from the ACC. They are only going to grow. If there are teams that succeeded in the big 12, they will poach them as well.
That is Utah‘s goal. Try to be one of those teams that gets called up. But as far as I’m concerned, the big 12 is destined for a very minor place at the big table.
