a mediocre batting order matched with a non-existent pitching staff. It was smoke and mirrors and I still can't believe they did what they did in that race with the Braves for best record in MLB, but it was always destined to be exposed once the post season hit.
This year they've shored up the batting order and they fixed the pitching staff. They should clearly be the odds on favorite to win the NL this season, but that doesn't mean the Phillies and Braves are gonna just bow down. Plus, the top two division winners still have to figure out how to manage that week off while their opponent is still playing and staying in game shape. MLB really needs to fix their post season.
