Baseball you are facing different pitchers so it’s different.

Playing the same team repeatedly exposes weaknesses in a way that’s different than anything else.

And the coaching staff of a team watches the previous series and can prepare their team for it.

It takes some time to get used to it. And in the meantime, somebody else who has already gotten used to it knows how to make the adjustments they need to make
