Unlike Washington and Oregon, BYU was severely disadvantaged compared to Utah. We were independent while they went to the PAC, and we had a lot of breaks go against us (bad call in the fumble, missed chip shot FG, 5 first quarter turnovers in the Vegas Bowl, blowing a 20 point fourth quarter lead).

The had our number in the 2010s. Outside that, they were solid but by no means incredible during that period. They also benefited from Washington and USC being historically weak for much of their time in the PAC.
