...and it drives me nuts trying to find meter parking. I've spent a long time in the past trying to find reasonable (close) parking. And, since it sounds like your time is limited, you'll find going directly to a parking garage may be well worth the cost. I've parked in that garage at various times throughout the year, including July 4th, and have always been able to park without any issues.
