Fassel was coach, I believe. I went with my dad to a game at the old, crumbling Rice stadium. They never cleared the snow about of the stands that day. We were in the section with other Cougar Club members, but near yewt fans. I was scared to death as the verbal assaults, and later snow balls, came flying at us all game long. First time in my life I thought I was going to see my dad kick the crap out of a guy, but he restrained himself (probably entirely for my sake).

That was the day it all became clear who we were dealing with.
