the rivalry died. It's an easy conclusion. On one hand you have a school that lives to hate the other. By and large it is a school made up of BYU haters 1st and fans of the program 2nd. On the other hand you have an incredible base of college football fans who 1st and formost cheer for BYU an dlike to hate on their rival second.

On one hand you have a team who rarely sells (and actually has the seats filled) except when big brother is coming to town and on the other hand you have a team that sells out (and actually has the seats filled) with very little regard to who is playing.

If byu were to create a rivalry with Boise not much would change for BYU but I can't even imagine what would happen to the yewts if they tried to create a rivalry with Colorado. They would pour beer on them and get a Jack Daniels bath in return...
