First, any one-loss BYU team will qualify
for a BCS game.
Second, Utah is at worst a 50-50 for BYU. If BYU can't win the games on their schedule, they don't belong in a BCS game.
Third, I'd much rather see a difficult schedule with teams actually scheduled that would equate to a BCS game than play a BSU schedule hoping for a BCS game at the end of the season if TCU isn't ahead of BYU.
Fourth, BYU beat OU last year which you would have called an automatic loss by this same logic.
