Have any of you had one of those experiences were you felt chastised by one of your children? Prior to the 2008 Sugar Bowl I had one of those experiences. I decided, like Im sure many other BYU fans did, that I would put aside any petty feeling that I may have for Utah and cheer for Utah during the 2008 Sugar Bowl. So, there I am sitting on the couch with my four year old sitting next to me, Im still deciding if I want to cheer for Utah when Barry Switzer starts flapping his gums. Listening to what that guy had to say kind of ticked me off so I said to my son, Tonight and tonight only, we are going to cheer for Utah. That sweet kid put me in my place when he replied, Dad, Im not cheering for Utah, I dont even like the word Utah. Im sure he had no idea that Utah is the state that he lives in, never-the-less, I felt completely chastised that evening.
