The USU hatred of Riley Nelson is pretty amazing. He could
not have done anything worse to them, in their minds. It really is mind boggling. BYU has lost players to other teams, but you don't hear this level of hatred very often. (It seems even worse than Ben Olsen.)

Some of my wife's extended family are Aggie fans. They glory in the fact the Riley is a back up. They love to say that it shows he made a mistake going to BYU. Some of them are sweet, good and old, but HATE Riley. They act as if he killed each of their favorite puppies on purpose. He purposely meant to hurt each of them individually.

Riley's own grandfather will supposedly not even go watch his grandson play. The grandpa is a temple worker, and his feelings are widely known I guess.

It has caused me to step back a bit to evaluate my own strong feelings on certain issues. I hope I'm not that far off any anything.
