I know that "wanting to be there" shouldn't matter, but...
...if that had been the championship game, Alabama wins by at least 3 scores. We're now 4 years out from that game and UA has proven that they might be the only exception to that rule. When you're good enough to win 3 out of 4 NC's, a non-NC BCS bowl game is a consolation prize at best.
