Anorexia in all it's forms is a mental health issue. Obesity may or may not be.
I have lived long enough to know people that have put on weight and taken it off for all sorts of reasons inclusive of mental health. It is also my experience that those with the easiest time not gaining weight are also the experts on obesity or so they think.
Not sure why shaming is helpful in anyway.
