But to your point, I agree. And it gets down to the issues of healthcare in America, IMO. Diabetes and heart disease are already a drain and will become a bigger drain on the healthcare system. I understand that some people with these conditions will have to pay more for insurance, but many are already on government welfare insurance.

IMO, if you choose to live a lifestyle that results in poor health, insurance should not cover that--especially not insurance supported by the taxpayers. If you cannot pay for the treatment, it may seem harsh, but you made your bed and now it's time to lie in it.
