Nba wants contributors too. There is a place in the NBA for 26 yr old euros that want to play in the NBA if they can contribute right away. Typically first round draft picks are used on guys that have a lot of potential or are so good that they can contribute immediately.
An argument could be made that if Mika spends 6-7 years in the NBA on close to minimum contracts he likely would make more in Europe over those same years considering the benefit packages available in Europe (cars, housing, less tax, etc) with contracts that pay nba dropouts over 1m.
I talked to a scout about him recently who thinks Mika will rise quite a bit on draft boards once teams get him in for a closer look.
I think he will get drafted in the 35-45 range and make a roster personally.
