I have no inside info, and do not consider myself a good judge of NBA talent...
the fact is is that people just don't know how players are going to end up. On one end look at Kawai Leonard. While I thought that he was a very good college player, I never thought he would develop into one of the top players in the league. And then i think of Jimmer and what he did in college and did not think he would end up out of the league in 4 years. Consider that Jimmer wants back in but it is likely that he will never be much more than an end-of-bench player, unless some team just rolls the dice and gives him a chance to just score. And even then I am not sure if he has the athleticism to really be productive.

But this brings me to my next point. Jimmer has torn it up in every league he has played in EXCEPT the NBA. College, Check. D-League, Check, CBA Double check. But getting back to the NBA with a legit shot to shine is difficult, if not almost impossible.

Mika, if he is not drafted with guaranteed money will likely go to the D-League. And I ask, how many D-League players make it into the NBA? How many go to Europe and come back and become consistent players in the NBA? The numbers are so small that it does not make sense if that is the way that Mika thinks he can get into the NBA.

If he comes back and does not improve his draft stock, then what has he hurt? He can still go to Europe or China and make good money. And he will be a year closer to a college degree, which is important after basketball.

I just don't see the logic of leaving now, if he's going to not get drafted or drafted too late for guaranteed money.

Well know in a few weeks. He's got to re-declare or withdraw his name. We will know then
