This is the problem of Independence. We schedule too high too early. Also, creates injuries. With HC requirements in place, we will never have the athletes in here to succeed with a heavy schedule. We need 2-3 mid-tier P5's, run the table in conference, then lay it all on the line and beat a top level P5 in a NY6.
I wish it were as easy as you think, "Just win games" but it's not. Look what happened to Bronco's record when we went Indy. It's too challenging. We don't have the dogs for this fight.
Those of us wanting to return to G5 are also looking at this from a program perspective. The WCC is podunk. You can't justify exposure for football and at the same time justify what the WCC has done for basketball. Zero eyeballs.
