With remote work, that's not necessarily true

For example, my wife works for a bank based in London with US operations in Wilmington, DE. We live in the Salt Lake area.
Her team members are in Philadelphia/Wilmington, Boston, New York City, and Orlando.
She isn't paid less than the guy in New York.
