Don't worry. They don't affect you much day-to-day. Unlike Utah, where state politics are actually something you can affect, in a state as big as CA you just kind of throw your hands up. Other than stupid, growth-squishing taxes that provide incentive for good businesses to move elsewhere, our legislature's nanny-state mentality really doesn't impact my life much. Luckily there's enough sunshine to keep most of the good companies here.
