Either that, or I need to shock you out of your "leave it to Beaver" world?
I was in the marching band and as we were on the sidelines, not one, not a few, but many fans were dropping the loogies down on us as fast as they could...and yes, I have seen it more than once.
I typically don't get offended by opposing fan bases. When we got there early to walk through some drills on the field, they let the student section in early and immediately they started the chant (blank) you, BYU. I actually thought that was funny and harmless. But when someone is so (fill in the blank) that they would spit on another human being over a football game?
They may not entirely be a despicable group, but there are a lot of despicable people that are there, and too many people that are their "co-fans" do nothing about it.
I have been to games at SDSU, New Mexico, Boston College, USC, UCLA, and Logan, among others. There is nothing like the dirty yewts. The dairy yewts really aren't that bad by comparison. Mostly all you get up there is some ignorant redneck type chants or pathetic attempts at humor.
I would consider attending a game in Logan, but I won't step foot in that rancid Rice cesspool again.
