It is disappointing but...
not the end for BYU. Even this expansion discussion has been good for BYU. Most football fans (outside yewts) acknowledge that we are a big time program, P5 caliber. I believe that the Big12 is heading for oblivion when the GOR is up. I expect modifications to the honor code to come because of title 9 but not to accommodate the Big 12. One analogy that really ticks me off is comparing gay marriage to the pre 1978 priesthood issue. In the Church we were always taught that someday the priesthood would be universally available to all worthy males. Never have the Brethren taught that gay marriage was acceptable in the church now or in the future.
