Which is why they won't do anything until the SEC and B1G destabilize the ACC.
Every ACC team would prefer the current ACC to the current B12. However, I think everyone assumes that there's a very good chance that the B1G and SEC are going to snag some ACC teams at some point. If that happens on as broad of a scale as most are speculating, then the B12 will become more attractive than whatever's left of the ACC. That's when the B12 will expand. The B12 is stable enough (especially given the signing of the grant of rights) that they don't need to make a panic pickup (like TCU) again, so they're not going to grab teams that they feel are inferior than the possible future ACC leftovers.
