Apparently being a cougar fan is a... very.............. distant... second.
Because it would be very much like the righteously indignant Aggie fans to claim that there is anything potentially unethical about what cougarboard is doing.

A. This is the only message on the front page (where you vote): "External, automated scripts used to create fake email accounts in order to manipulate voting totals were used to vote in the 6th Fan contest dating back to February 24. As a result, all votes cast since that date through email registration have been removed for all schools remaining in the contest. All non-email registration votes (through Twitter, Facebook, and on NCAA.com/6thfan) since February 24 will count towards the contest. Additionally, since this issue did not arise prior to the Elite 8 round, the previous rounds' voting totals are authentic and remain unchanged. All votes cast prior to February 24 through email registration will be included in the final tallies. Fans can continue to support their schools through the options currently available on NCAA.com/6thfan." There is nothing about only voting once per day per person.

B. Even if there were a clear statement about limiting your votes to one person per day (which there isn't), the set up clearly allows multiple/infinite votes per person through ordinary methods. It's COMPLETELY ABSURD to allow the general public to vote as often as they would like and then effectively say "pretty please, only vote once per day." The NCAA didn't do this, obviously. Rather, it is the time you are spending associating with the more disgruntled faction of Aggie fans that is clouding your brain, in this instance.

C. Cougarboard claims to have received pre-approval for the scripts they are running which still require a human being to enter in the 7-digit captcha and actually place the vote. Even though the more disgruntled faction of Aggie fans want desperately to believe in anything that makes them feel morally superior to BYU, I'm confident that cougarboard is operating completely above boards on this one, both as stated in the rules AND as intended by the contest administrators as per our correspondence with them.
