That's a great distinction........
It would absolutely be accurate to call Wilt "The most dominant player of all time", but that title does depend on his competition as much as his own talent. If you put Monte Ellis in a Time Machine and sent him to the 1950's, he would put up unbelievable statistics, but that wouldn't make him one of the best guards of all time.

I still stick with Jordan as the best ever, but it's getting harder and harder for me to say that LeBron isn't in the top 5 now.

2. Bill Russell
3-7. Magic/LeBron/Larry/Oscar/Kareem

I can't honestly decide which of those guys was best - but I'm probably not giving Kareem enough credit because I started watching NBA right at the end of his career.
