Lebron is great, but he's no Jordan. Those highlights are awesome, but I watched him play many, many games both regular and post-season. And the OP is right, the real story of Jordan was his ability to take over a game unlike anybody else I've seen.
Basketball is a team sport and you win and lose as a team. If the team plays well together, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Jordan was the only guy I've seen who somewhat challenged that maxim. Many times I saw him single-handedly close 10-point gaps late in playoff games, doing it on both ends of the floor. Normally, a ten point lead in the 4th would be a nice margin. Not so when facing Jordan. Jordan was also the antithesis of a choker, always performing his best when it was all on the line. Joe Montana and Jordan are two of the few athletes I've seen who were ALWAYS cool under fire. He 100% knew he was going to succeed at all times and basically always did.
