It will be interesting to see how BYU responds if ticket sales end up lower
this year.

As I see it, they have 2 options:

1. The Haddow response: Good riddance, we don't need people to attend our home games anyway, all our best games will always be on the road, so we don't care about fans that we deem to be unworthy of real fanhood. I'm guessing they don't take this approach.

2. Realize that while scheduling as an independent is difficult, there are certainly ways to improve the gameday experience, and make it enticing to keep as many fans coming to games as possible.

The fact that BYU raised prices for the awesome schedule last year, then didn't lower them back this year hurts. Maybe come up with some creative pricing plans for 3-game packs or something, I don't know. But in my circle of friends, I see interest in going to games/buying tickets dropping fast.

I posted earlier that I almost didn't renew my season tickets this year, but did in the end. So I don't know how the fan police feel about my level of fanhood, nor do I care.
