Agree that they both receive value, but is it proportional
to how much revenue they generate for the school? Does a regular student on scholarship generate any revenue for the school? Also, the value of that scholarship is not equal even when you take the revenue factor away. A football player is there to play football. He spends countless hours a week on his craft. The schools enable him by spoon feeding him an eduction with mentors and easy course loads. A football player who is delusional enough to think he will make it in the NFL deserves part of the blame when he doesn't make it and his education doesn't help him get decent employment, but doesn't the school also deserve blame for putting him in that situation?
