My wife and I returned from a date night to find the babysitter looking a bit frantic. We were also surprised to see his sister was there to, anxiously moving about the house. He finally admitted they had lost our youngest child and had spent the last 40 minutes looking for him.

What we had failed to mention to him was that this child had a habit of putting himself to bed at night. Whenever he was tired he would just climb in bed and go to sleep. The babysitter never bothered to look in his bed. -- After all what kind of three year old goes to be on their own?

Sure enough we found him fast asleep under a pile of blankets. The babysitter never watched our kids after that. I think it freaked him out.
