Then when the person was found to be trolling, lying, or just didn't have all the info, we feel betrayed and retaliate with the only ammo we have, words.
I 100% agree that "insiders" should be taken with a train of salt, even myself. I have info that proves almost every insider wrong at some point, but I tend to bite my tongue because I am not in the room during when the admin works, and I choose not to guess what was discussed. I also choose not to attempt to lead others astray when I do not have all the info. Others sadly don't seam to have that control.
I guess I make a point of drawing attention to these inaccuracies of "insiders" because it saddens me that we form a harsh opinion of someone (in this case BYU admin) based on completely false information that we have made a choice to believe.
