I don't doubt that bluebrother is an awesome guy and a die hard BYU fan. I bet he is well connected and is friends with some folks very close to the program. I imagine these friends hear things and sometimes share these stories with their buddy bluebrother. Bluebrother is then kind enough to share these stories with Cougarboard.

The problem is his friends don't have all the details, and many of the information they pass along is incorrect. So the dots must be connected and some guessing occurs. A lot of guessing actually. Some of the guess are right and some are wrong. When the guesses are wrong posts are deleted or backtracking occurs and a new story line begins.

It is much like our favorite politicians who are nice guys, mean well, but in order to appeal to a broad audience they must paint both sides of the fence.

In this case, and in many others, "insiders" have a habit of guesswork. Often these guesses are wrong, but we still listen. We still believe. We want these guesses to be right, so we repeat them and eventually call them 'fact'.

That my friends is where we are today, guessing.
