I'm sure that was part of it, but Alabama had to reshuffle their offensive line
for the Utah game due to injuries, and was a huge reason Utah was able to get penetration on defense and significantly slow down Alabama's offense. Considering Alabama plays smash mouth football as opposed to finesse, I don't think this can be understated.

Besides, who wouldn't have a let down when you expect to compete for NCs and end up playing little Utah from the MWC?
