I had pretty extensive surgery on my nose and sinuses back in December. The recovery went relatively well until 2 months ago when I came down with a cold. All the sneezing and blowing of my nose seemed to have caused a lot of irritation on some still-sensitive sinuses. This led to some severe inflammation. I went to an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor and have been taking Flonase for about 3 weeks now in addition to Clariten D. I bet the combination of the medication and my body's own attempt at fighting the inflammation made me very susceptible to the Shingles.
