We loved ours.
She was as close to a perfect dog as you could get. She was protective, very loyal, never barked unless someone she didn't know got close to the kids or someone was at the door, would whimper when she needed to go outside, pulled me or my wife when we'd walk her but if the kids walked her, she instinctively knew to be careful. I wrestled with her every night after dinner but she knew never to do it with the kids. Even if they tried to play rough with her she would lay there like a lazy lap dog.

My biggest complaint was the hair. If you intend to keep the dog outside you won't have a problem but if it's inside, have one of your kids brush your dog as their daily chore and you should be good. Training is a must. Also, plan to spend at least 30 minutes to an hour a day running your husky. Husky's love to socialize so on days that we just didn't feel like walking her or taking her for a run, we'd take her to the dog park for an hour. Worked like a charm! She slept the rest of the night.
