I can't speak from personal experience, but wow. A full ride to Stanford would
be pretty hard to pass up.
In my HS, we had 20+ in my class go to Berkeley, and 3 go to Stanford. (Weird, since many kids that went to ivy league schools couldn't get into Stanford.) 1 out of those 3 at Stanford dropped out after because of mental health reasons. Never will know if that was related to school pressure or not. I also know that one of my buddies (who scored 1600 on the SAT) got into Stanford but ended up choosing BYU. For me kids, I think I would gauge it on their spiritual maturity at that point. Full ride to Stanford though. Fat chance!
