I think you're having some recency bias.
Curtis ran for 1,123 yards on 210 carries in 05' and 1,010 yards on 201 carries in 06'. That's 5.2 YPC. He also had 1,020 yards receiving in those 2 years.

Jamal ran for 775 yards on 166 carries in 12' and 1,233 yards on 217 carries in 13'. That's also 5.2 YPC. Jamal had for 440 yards receiving in those 2 years.

Rushing stats are obviously very similar, though I would say that CB had a much better O-line blocking for him in 2006 than JW has had. CB was a much better receiver out of the backfield, however. Jamal does have 2 more years though. CB didn't really start producing a lot until his junior year. Right now, I would say they are very similar.
