Every ten years or so, the Big12 will negotiate a new tv deal and Tex and OU

will threaten to leave. Even if OU and Texas stick around, they will be constantly threatening to leave in order to promote their self-interest. This is exactly why Nebraska and Colorado could not wait to get out. Despite present appearances, the conference is not nearly as stable as the Pac 12.
