The concept of solar panels itself is already proven and it is only a matter of

time before we see it everywhere here. Germany already relies on solar for ~70% of their electricity if I recall that correctly from presentations I've seen, despite Germany receiving a lot less sunlight than the USA. But proven in such a demanding environment as roads it most certainly has not.
