Your metaphor is misplaced. Let's explore....
You: Hope Texas has some of their best players not available for the game in order to enhance our chances.

Me: Want Texas to play their best players.

You: We are going to "need all the help we can get," including praying Texas can only play several 7th graders at the skill positions.

Me: We are good enough to play (and beat) Texas, whoever they line up in the game.

You: Appear to be afraid of having Texas at full strength.

Me: I hope they are at full strength.

You: In beating a depleted Texas team, you most likely will still crow (to use another metaphor) about beating mighty Texas.

Me: In beating a full strength Texas, the glory in that feat is, in fact, great.

It appears to be more accurate in metaphor placement that you are the one most familiar with getting your own panties in a bunch.

If you would like to use a metaphor for my views, a more accurate one would be "that guy sure thinks our team has HUGE brass balls."

Thanks for playing. Go Cougs.
