I dunno
I'll give you a some of those, but only some.

Wisconsin, Ohio State, Iowa, Virginia Tech? Sure, pretty similar schedules on paper, except their marquee games are tougher. They're all playing 2 ranked teams (or nearly ranked) as of right now. We have no ranked teams on our schedule right now (with the exception of Texas in the Coach's poll) And for some of them, at least one of those teams is very highly ranked and likely to be a very very tough game.

Wisconsin plays:
LSU
Nebraska

Ohio State plays:
Virginia Tech
Michigan State

Iowa plays:
Wisconsin
Nebraska

Virginia Tech plays:
Ohio State
North Carolina

So, yeah, of course, some high caliber teams also have easy schedules this year. But some teams, they never get a break.

Alabama is playing:
West Virginia
Florida
Ole Miss
Tennessee
Texas A&M
LSU
Auburn

Oklahoma is playing:
West Virginia
Tennessee
Texas
Kansas State
Baylor
Oklahoma State

And...drumroll....

BYU is playing:
Texas
UCF?
California?

It's just not the same. Yes, I feel like the schedule is decent, but it is pretty clearly a weaker schedule. Those teams have recent success to buoy their lackluster schedules, but we don't as much. That is why this year is important to do well to finish strong going into 2015. But who knows, maybe we're really really good this year and some exciting stuff happens at the end of the season. It'll just be tougher for us than those teams you cite.
