That isn't how they are selected, though. The NY6

have some auto tie-ins, but the at-large spots are basically automatic as well, being filled based on highest ranking and going back. The actual bowl a team gets placed in is decided based on matchup and location, but getting into a NY6 bowl is simply a matter of being ranked high enough.
