I think they just need to play ESPN games in pre-game.

Florida State does it. BYU should as well. I'm sure ESPN would be more than happy to allow games to be played on the videoboards in pre-game. Perhaps stop at about 30-minutes before kickoff to allow for the other pre-game things.
