Bingo....Cougar Club and booster support is so minimal at BYU that they have to
supplement their budget with all the advertising and gimmicks. There is a reason USC, Ohio State, Texas, Notre Dame and the other big boys don't have Grandma Sycamore sponsoring third downs....it's because they don't need their advertising revenue. You will know when BYU is really big-time when most of these things go away.
I have to admit I do like the atmosphere at other venues where their budgets allow for the focus to be on the game rather than all the other distractions. Sometimes I feel like I am at a carnival rather than a football game at LES.
