In all seriousness playing high school football was one of the best things I ever did and I would do it again in a second. I don't have any sons, but if I did I would definitely encourage them to play. I think you can be cautious and manage things well enough from an injury perspective. I say let them play. Manage injuries as they come and be careful about them, but play!
