Football is a lot of fun. I am a competitive person by nature. The sport isn't worth my time if it isn't something that I am thoroughly enjoying. I have plenty of other things in life that I can enjoy instead of going to or watching a football game. If our team is good I naturally enjoy the games more. If the team stinks I have better things to do with my time.
