Why I do go to games while living in Pleasant Grove.
1. Parking. I slip down the canyon road and park a mile from the stadium. Free, and an easy 1-mile walk. I need the exercise, and I'm in my seat in less than 45 minutes, even against Texas in a hurricane.
2. Internet access. I can get away from freaking Twitter for a few hours.
3. Seating. Plenty of room for all the standing and cheering I do.
4. Visibility. Contributed to my decision to get Lasik.
5. Replays. I can relive real experiences right there in my own head, without the inane blather of disinterested and possibly biased commentators.
6. Noise. I'm encouraged to make it, and I do.
7. Convenience. My 120" screen and leather theater seating will be waiting for me for the post-game movie, and for next week's road game.
8. Cost. Eight dollars and fifty frickin' cents.
9. Anticipation. I can enjoy the excitement of witnessing the unfolding of the game real-time, rather than, say, tweeting with similarly unmotivated friends about a recorded version of what happened 30 minutes ago.
