Absolute truth. College football sold its soul for TV revenue. As a result...
it has lost many of the things that made it unique among other sports. The stadium experience is just one thing sacrificed on the alter of the almighty dollar. Traditional and regional rivalries are another (seriously...who envisioned a day wherein UT and aTm were in different conferences and didn't even play one another anymore...a day where West Virginia played in the same conference as Baylor and Texas Tech...a day where Nebraska played in the same conference as Penn State and Northwestern).

Add these things to talk about paying players, and I rapidly lose interest in college sports.
