Just finished Words of Radiance (major spoilers)
I thought it ended well. A couple of thoughts: Sanderson took a long time to tell that story. It worked out in the end, with a dramatic ending that I felt was worth the read.

I felt like there was a lot of unnecessary dialogue. Not that it wasn't meaningful, but if it was removed, it wouldn't have changed the story.

Sanderson does a great job with character development. You come to really like Kaladin and Shallan, even if you groan every time you trudge through one of Shallan's chapters.

I didn't like what Kaladin's conflict was. He seemed to be so loyal, and yet was fairly easily swayed to betray the king, only to have THAT be his route to becoming a Windrunner. It also annoyed me a bit that Adolin murdered Sadeas in the end. After a terrific character development, one event changes everything you ever thought about Adolin, even though Sanderson spent so many chapters defining him.

In the end, I'll read the entire series, for sure. No doubt. I'm glad for a little break after plowing through both the Way of Kings and Words of Radiance back-to-back.
